Before going on the Autumn Dunes Photo tour, I had already taken continuing education classes and assisted professional photographers. What I learned during the eco photo tour was priceless! Somehow between the two of you, you managed to include art, history, biology, ecology and computer science! I truly appreciated the hands-on attention, technical knowledge, straight forward answers and positive encouragement to compose the shot right there. The immediate results from your suggestions were absolutely amazing! I was able to add creative effects using my camera settings without using photoshop! Your credentials are outstanding and both of you are qualified instructors. Most importantly to me you were passionate, patient and sincere.
Yes, the results were outstanding! I hope to see you again on a future tour!

What an outstanding ecological and photographic learning experience!! The weather, the lighting and the autumn colors may not have been ideal, however the experience was exceptional. Your mastery experience, wisdom, knowledge and vision were generously shared. The symbolic relationship that you share with each other enlightens photographic skills as well as the appreciation and beauty that nature affords us. Kristen, our daughter-in-law, loved the photographic experience. Thru your guidance and mentorship you continue to expand her knowledge and fuel her excitement. This experience for the two of us was a special shared experience that we will always value and treasure. I wanted to write you a short note to let you know how much I enjoyed the Autumn Dunes Tour last weekend. I felt very comfortable right from the beginning, with the both of you and our group. The Dunes were breathtaking and the hands on class was the best I have ever been to. Thank you for this exciting opportunity and your patience and enthusiasm. Both of you made learning a fun adventure, I never felt intimidated to ask a question. It was well worth the airfare from PA, my photos are beautiful. Plus, now that I am back home, our foliage has not yet peaked, so I continue to shoot with the basic knowledge you provided us, with very little adjustment.

Hi Mark and Bob,
I had an absolutely amazing time on the photo tour! I want you both to know how comfortable you made me feel in spite of my lack of knowledge about my camera and photography in general! I love that you are both so laid back and easy going — you both made it so easy for me, and everyone else as well, to ask questions about anything! When I got home and had a chance to go through my photos, I was so surprised at the images I had created! They look like real professional photographs! The best part of the whole weekend is that I had FUN! I can honestly say it was the first time in my life that I felt really passionate about something so thank you!

I just wanted to thank you both for a truly eye-opening weekend! I am so glad I found your tour on The Homestead’s website — it was a great adventure!
I was apprehensive about taking this tour alone, but you both were so friendly, knowledgeable and approachable — you made the tour informative, and a lot of fun! The group of people on this tour was so inviting and I really enjoyed meeting everyone! With Mark’s eye for what makes an incredible photo and Bob’s technical knowledge, you’ve really got the best of everything for these tours! Even in the inclement weather, the photo shoot stops had such gorgeous scenery and views. I especially loved the covered bridge and the Day barns stops!
